The Department for Disability and Permanently Reduced Work Capacity administers a large number of social insurance benefits, including assistance benefits, sickness and activity compensation, and compensation for work-related injuries. The Legal Support operational area is responsible for the department's review operations, litigation in court, and the legal support closely related to case handling. Together, this operational area will serve as a force and engine in the legal quality work of the department. The review units are now to be strengthened with additional colleagues.

Investigations, analyses, and teamwork
As a reviewer, you uphold citizens' rights by conducting a new comprehensive review of decisions where individuals have requested a reassessment of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's decision. You assess, investigate, and decide on the case. You make clear and legally sound decisions that address all claims. If a reassessed decision is appealed to court, you are responsible for preparing documentation for the court's review. You will have contact via phone or in writing. Externally, you will communicate with employers, healthcare providers, the Public Employment Service, municipalities, and county councils.

In your work, you actively strive for continuous improvement of quality in work processes and case handling and support learning in the handling of individual cases. As a reviewer, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be deemed equivalent, preferably with a focus on social sciences or law.
  • has a systematic and meticulous approach and delivers results based on agreements
  • effectively understands and analyzes complex issues
  • collaborates effectively with others and shares knowledge, experiences, and information
  • has good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • supports others in striving to achieve common goals.

It is advantageous if you

  • have in-depth knowledge of social insurance and administrative law
  • have experience in case handling/investigation within one or preferably several of the benefits areas administered by the Department for Disability and Permanently Reduced Work Capacity.

2 positions, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Remote work may be possible if the job allows. In this recruitment, psychological tests may be used as part of the selection process. Locations: Stockholm and Jönköping.
